Partner at Levy & Salomão Advogados, Alexandre assists clients in antitrust, regulatory and compliance matters brought before administrative and judicial courts in Brazil. He has over 20 years’ experience in working with complex issues in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, media, banks, automotive, energy, petrochemicals, timber and beverages. He also advised government agencies regarding regulatory matters in network industries and was a member of the Council of IBRAC, Brazil’s association of antitrust practitioners. A professor of Antitrust Law and Law and Economics at Universidade Federal do Paraná, Alexandre holds a PhD and a Post-Doctoral Certification (Livre-Docência) from the Universidade de São Paulo and was a Visiting Scholar at Yale University. He is the author of Regulação e Direito Concorrencial - As Telecomunicações (Regulation and Antitrust Law, Telecommunications) and Democracia e Regulação das Redes Eletrônicas de Comunicação - Rádio, Televisão e Internet (Democracy and Regulation of Electronic Communications Networks - Radio, Television and Internet).
