GE Global Research Rio de Janeiro is the 5th Global Research site of General Electric, responsible to address R&D initiatives for Latin America region. It is a multidisciplinary technology center that address demands from Energy, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Chemicals, Manufacturing, Controls, Electric Power, Analytics, Healthcare and Software.At GE Global Research I have acted as:- Jan/2012 to Jun/2016: Lead engineer, specialist in control & automation for the Bioenergy Systems Center of Excelency, developing control strategies and integrated solutions to improve efficiency of bioenergy related production processes, power plants, rotating machinery and reciprocating engines, and to generate energy from biomass related feedstocks;- Jun/2016 to Feb/2017: Lead engineer for the Software & Analytics Center of Excelency, responsible for modeling and simulation of discrete event processes, used in production processes and logistics optimization, lean and multi-modal factory concepts development;- Feb/2017 to Sep/2017: Lead engineer for the Manufacturing Core Technology research group, working as member of a Mission-based Team to identify and execute cost-out initiatives for GE Renewables / Brazil Onshore Wind business. During 2017 the Mission-based team was able to identify and initiate projects to reduce 10% of 2,5MW, 116m rotor wind turbines production cost;-Sep/2017 on: Lead engineer for the Oil Field Equipment research and development group, working as subsea control system specialist.

GT2 Tecnologia is a start up and spin off from PUC-Rio, dedicated to the provision of complete technological solutions for the simulation of processes and equipment, originally focused in the power generation segment.At GT2 I have acted as:- Feb/2011 – Jan/2012: Control & automation specialist for the development of the control and automation division of GT2 Tecnologia;- Aug/2010 – Jan/2012: Control systems’ group leader for the development of an online and full scope simulator of a combined cycle thermoelectric power plant;- Apr/2010 – Jan/2012: Development coordinator of an inspection robot to inspect inside heat recovery steam generators and chimneys of thermoelectric power plants;

PUC-Rio is the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (http://www.puc-rio.br/english/). At PUC-Rio I acted as Research Engineer working under a research grant from CNPq to develop and build a weld robot system using a double tubular wire welding process, more efficient and economic, to be used by the naval construction industry.

BioGénie Projetos is a start up company I helped implement and begin activities that is focused in developing portable milling and scanning technology for dental prosthesis production, to be used inside dentist office. Development also comprises specific and dedicated software and electronic boards/circuits to operate its own milling machines and scanners, and integrate with third party systems.During my time in BioGénie I acted as:- Engineer in charge of the development, construction and testing of a portable CAD/CAM system for dental prosthesis titanium components fabrication; of a scanner device for retrieving information from dental prosthesis components; and of an embedded control electronic board; - Engineer in charge of the development of a computational tool and graphical user interface to operate the portable dental CAD/CAM system.

FMC Technologies is the global leader for the energy industry providing oil service equipment for sophisticated systems and products such as subsea production and processing systems, surface wellhead systems, high pressure fluid control equipment, measurement solutions, and marine loading systems for the oil and gas industry.During my time with FMC I acted as subsea control systems engineer working with design and testing of subsea control systems for manifolds and wet X-trees, and with Subsea Control Module (SCM) and correspondant electronics’ maintenances.
