I am a neuroscience and policy researcher based in the UK, working at the intersection of academia and public policy to implement evidence-based drug policy. My expertise lies in the science of psychoactive substances, with a focus on psychedelics and dissociatives.I am currently Director of Research at the Centre for Evidence Based Drug Policy (formerly the Conservative Drug Policy Reform Group) where my work focuses on improving the governance of drug policy.Previously, I led projects which investigated the influence of ovarian hormones on the antidepressant effects of ketamine, the synaptic correlates of benzodiazepine tolerance, and the alterations in whole brain morphology resulting from recurrent ayahuasca use in religious ceremonies.
