I am currently pursuing a PhD in Philosophy (concentration in Feminist Studies) at the Université du Québec à Montréal. I am studying under the supervision of Amandine Catala and Mauro Rossi. Before starting my PhD, I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal (2018), as well as a Master’s degree in Philosophy at the Université de Montréal (2022).My thesis takes as its starting point the connection between different systems of oppression. From an intersectional perspective, I am interested in the conceptual links between animal ethics on the one hand, and feminist philosophy, critical race theory and critical disability studies on the other. More specifically, I mobilize the methodology of conceptual engineering in order to create concepts in animal ethics by drawing inspiration from existing concepts in feminist philosophy, critical race theory and critical disability studies.Regarding my involvement and academic experiences, I am a graduate fellow at the Interuniversity Research Group in Political Philosophy (2023-2025). I was a fellow at the Interuniversity Research Group on Normativity (2023-2024) and at the Research Center in Ethics (2023-2024). I am also a member of the Canada Research Chair on Epistemic Injustice and Agency. Finally, I was the director of Philopolis for the fourteenth edition (2022-2023).In regards to my teaching experience, I have been a lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences at the Université de Montréal since fall 2022, in the Department of Chemistry at the Université du Québec à Montréal since winter 2024, and in the Department of Philosophy at the Université du Québec à Montréal since fall 2024.Finally, I work as a research assistant since summer 2024 for the project "Including psychiatrized Communities in philosophy of psychiatry" which aims to use a participatory research methodology in philosophy of psychiatry to expand philosophical analyses, relationships to areas related to mental health and make philosophical knowledge accessible and useful to psychiatrized communities.
