Alexandre Sitoe is Natural Resources Management Specialist with significant experience in Oil and Gas and Mining (Aluminium Industry). He previously occupied positions of HSE Superintendent at BHP Billiton Aluminum, Mozal in Mozambique with the responsibilities of managing the Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management for the Asset. He is now the Sasol HSE Manager for Mozambique with the responsibilities of Managing the Environmental and the HSE Head Office portfolios for Sasol Mozambique Asset which includes the following responsibilities:•Managing the HSE portfolio for SASOL Mozambique Head Office;•Managing Environmental and Social Impact Studies for Sasol Oil and Gas Projects in Mozambique;•Managing the implementation and execution of Seismic/Exploration Environmental Management Plans;• Managing the implementation and execution of Drilling Environmental Management Plans which the primary responsibility is the management of drilling cuttings/muds, drilling fluids, drilling waste and workforce training on environmental matters;•Managing the implementation and execution of Oil/Gas Processing Facility’s Operational Environmental Management Plan;•Managing the implementation and Execution of the Oil and Gas Construction Environmental Management Plan with primary responsibility of managing ecosystems/biodiversity sensitivities during the Well Pads and Well pads’s access roads construction projects in the oils and gas fields.Alex has completed Masters of Science degree in Natural Resources Management at the University of Western Australia, Perth, in Australia in 2009 after which he obtained a Diploma in Business Administration from the Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK in 2014. Alex possesses unique professional skills in extractive industry both in mining and Oil and Gas (Exploration, development and Production) through exposure over time to make him capable of managing diversified portfolio in mining and oil and gas sectors.
