I worked on the development of the CGAO2 software and the control algorithm (part of my PhD thesis) in .NET technology (WPF) CGAO2 is a software related to glycemic control in ICU. Indeed, several clinical trials have shown that, using a specific target range, glycemic control decreases mortality. The software thus assists nurses by providing recommendations of glucose and insulin intakes. This decision-making support system uses control theory concepts to achieve its goal, that is to maintain blood sugar level of ICU patients in a pre-determined target range by adapting pump infusion flows.The software is HL7-compatible and interacts with several other HL7-compatible medical devices to retrieve medical data automatically.

I began my thesis by designing a glycemic control algorithm using basic control theory concepts (under Matlab/Simulink software) for the CGAO-REA french study which was aiming to include more than 6,000 patients to show mortality benefit using software assistant to control blood glucose level in a specific tight glycemic target range. I'm currently working on the improvement of this algorithm using more advanced control techniques (more robust), including physiological system modeling techniques.
