Over my near four-year tenure at Amazon, I had the opportunity to collaborate with exceptionally talented individuals across various teams and organizations.I started in the Identity Services organization, responsible for all aspects of customer and device authentication. A notable achievement in this role was my contribution to an Alexa initiative, which aimed at enabling multiple customers to seamlessly use the same device. This involved enhancing and adapting the existing two-factor authentication (2FA) flows to support this new functionality.Later, I moved to the Personalization organization, in a team focusing on improving the quality and accuracy of the Amazon Catalog using AI and Knowledge Graphs. This was my first experience collaborating with Applied Scientists and my first professional experience with AI systems. My responsibilities included creating pipelines to train and validate AI models, running inference on large datasets to extract facts for a Knowledge Graph, and finally proposing catalog changes based on the generated graph.Lastly, I worked with a team tasked with orchestrating the process of automatically making products from one marketplace available in other marketplaces, which requires interacting with many systems from a number of teams within Amazon. Unlike typical systems of this kind that operate in batches, this one functioned in near-real-time, utilizing message queues and microservices to synchronize product existence, details, and inventory as they changed over time.

At Credible, I started as a contractor when the company had less than 10 employees in total and advanced to a Principal Software Engineer as it grew, moving to the U.S. under H1B visa in the process.During my four-year tenure, I focused on design and implementation of marketplaces for Educational Loans, Personal Loans, and Credit Cards. My responsibilities also extended to managing our cloud infrastructure and hiring of new engineers.Credible achieved significant milestones, raising seed, series A, then getting listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and subsequently been acquired by Fox Corporation in the U.S. It has transformed into a major fintech company, employing hundreds and serving a vast customer base.Understanding the challenges startups face, I am immensely proud of the team accomplishments. My time there stands as one of the most significant learning experiences in my entire career.

At Subledger, a startup offering APIs to enable companies to track transactions in real-time, my role encompassed full-stack development and aiding customers in integrating these APIs with their systems. A key achievement was the development of the customer-facing administrative UI.

Implemented the original MVP from scratch in less than a month, including infrastructure setup in AWS, implementation of Ruby on Rails backend and frontend. Main achievements were writing a Restful API to be consumed by native mobile applications (iOS and Android) and implementation of responsive web user interface.

Worked as a remote contractor for IBM GBS (Global Business Solutions) internal projects, developing projects in Java EE.

Worked as a full stack Engineer and Technical Leader using technologies like Groovy, Grails and Java, to build RFID systems for identification, attendance control, access control, assets tracking and warehouse management (WMS). Main achievement was building a Multi Tenant SaaS solution for attendance control.

Worked in a project for Bradesco, a major Brazilian bank. Contributed to evolving its web development framework and architecture of the time, including essential structural components for security, cache, encryption, etc., widely utilized by multiple teams.

Joined as an intern and rapidly advanced to trainee in the Software Architecture group, gaining valuable experience from seasoned professionals. Achievements included selection from several interns for the trainee role and working on diverse projects, learning design patterns and Java technologies of the time.

My first Software Engineer role ever was at Async Open Source during my undergrad's second year, focusing on creating customization for Bugzilla, an open source bug tracking tool from Mozilla. Key accomplishment was contributing changes to the actual Bugzilla open source project.
