• I design, develop, modify a software system designed to transform graphical and textual information from hard (paper) media into electronic format. Part of the application is engaged in recognition of scanned graphic information and its transformation. Another part performs structural analysis of text, selection of paragraphs, fields, values, etc. Another part is intended to store information in repositories and provide a server interface for client applications. Client part is intended to show transformed data and to let an operator to verify, validate and update transformed data and documents. • Worked as consultant for Morgan Stanley financial group. That’s one of the world’s largest financial credit organizations. I designed and developed different applications for Morgan Stanley. They had large applications for some parts of their businesses that became obsolete and I worked in team that had to create new application with faster server functionality and more convenient modern graphical interface. Server side was written in C++ for Unix. Some dispatching software on server-side was written in Java. Application was intended for storing and processing about mortgages, credits, bonds, loans, clients of some departments of Morgan Stanley.• Worked on the application with elements of machine learning. The application was intended for processing of statistical data on financial transactions for a certain period of time, the current situation on the market of financial operations and assets, recognition and generation of functional dependencies and models, search of extremes and creating of recommendations for a broker. The application could also give to the broker possible consequences of his operations and actions. I used C and C++ for development.• Worked on Morgan Stanley’s project called GSF (Grid Solutions Framework). Idea was to create multi-machine multi-platform framework that was intended for parallel processing of heavy financial computations. It included a set (grid) of servers, one or more brokers (modules responsible for choosing of available idle servers in the grid) and clients that sent requests for jobs to be done to dispatchers. Servers and dispatchers worked on powerful UNIX machines, clients were mostly windows applications. Interesting project that required knowledge of different technologies that had to work together. I used C#, Java, C++ for UNIX, Rational Rose for design, Python, Sybase.
