Completed Teaching Certificate program by teaching in multiple courses in the PharmD curriculum.

A 24-month post-PharmD training program that provides concentrated training in clinical practice and administration of health-system pharmacy, and prepares the resident to assume leadership positions in hospitals and integrated health care systems. The PGY1 year focuses on pharmacy practice, providing experience in all aspects of patient-focused care. The PGY2 year provides training in health-system pharmacy administration, building off the clinical and leadership skills developed in the PGY1 year. Key experiences include personnel management, clinical services and operations management, ambulatory pharmacy management, supply chain management, pharmacy informatics, hospital senior leadership, and medication safety. Experiential learning is supplemented with didactic training in the Masters of Science in Health Informatics through The University of Iowa, College of Public Health.

My job responsibilities include filling medications, making IV medications, and delivering medications to inpatient bedsides.

As a teaching assistant I have taught General Biology lab sections, Human Anatomy and Physiology lab sections, and the discussion hour of Pharmacology. I give lectures every week, administer quizzes and exams, and also grade any assignments and exams.
