Optimize recurring reports and functions through the use of Alteryx, R, and Tableau, resulting in more time to work on larger projects and take on more reports for the business. Build reporting dashboards to present service utilization cross-company to executives, using Alteryx to combine data sources and arrange the data in a Tableau-ready form. Utilize Alteryx Gallery to upload queries that can be used as self-service across multiple departments. Facilitated the use of modernized data sources by gathering new data source information, setting up team members ODBC and connections, and documenting the process along the way. Educated team members on-site and abroad through Webex on platforms, including Alteryx, SAP Web Intelligence, and Tableau, and on how to efficiently create reports through optimization or automation. Created cross-departmental reports that served legal, buying, and business process teams to ensure they have the information required to perform their day to day jobs.

Documented connection paths and data source locations that are used by BI Cognos Admins. Created tutorials to be used by business users of the Roambi mobile reporting tool to assist in connecting and using the application.

During this internship, I was responsible for creating a project management application using the QuickBase platform to holistically fit the BI team's needs while ensuring development pipeline best practices. I met with each team member individually to understand their problems and barriers with the existing project management tool to create a plan of action. As I created the application, I met with team members again to showcase the iterations and obtain feedback. I also worked with the Data Modeler to learn how the Cognos data sources / OLAP cubes were connected and incorporate them into the Quickbase application. This allowed for a check-in, check-out mechanism for existing data sources that helped maintain productivity and data integrity.Once complete, I presented the application to the team with a real-time example and provided explanations on how to update as requirements changed.
