About Alexa Santiesteban-Zougras

I am a graduate form Columbia University, and my focus has always been technology in the English classroom. I am also a writer and I often blog on my own sites such as Facebook, and other social media outlets. In addition, I also have my own writing projects that I am working on, including a children’s book. I have vast knowledge of children’s education, and I know what gets their attention, and what makes the students of today become thinkers. I am a speed-reader, and I have excellent reading, writing and research skills. In sales, I was able to procure great business skills because before my teaching career I was in retail; consequently, I was a Jr. Loan Processor for a mortgage company part-time while furthering my education. Teaching can be seen as the “selling of ideas” and in real-estate & retail I learned how to function under the pressure of attaining certain number goals at the end of each day.
