I am a high-achieving Brandeis graduate, where I studied with a full merit scholarship and majored in International & Global Studies (IGS) and Latin American & Latinx Studies (LALS) with minors in Politics and Hispanic Studies. During college, I pursued several independent research projects across Latin America and was very active as a leader in the LALS department and a volunteer in the Waltham community. I discovered a deep passion for pursuing social change with an intersectional and just approach. I also worked part-time as an online educator teaching SAT English prep, IELTS and TOEFL prep, and English Fundamentals at Zinkerz. I continued taking on new responsibilities at Zinkerz, first working as a summer intern, then taking on a content writing and copyediting role, followed by a full-time position as a college counselor in a two-person department. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment sharpened my skills in creativity, flexibility, organization, communication, teamwork, and precision. With my combined interests in education, social justice, writing, community service, and research, I hope to pursue more opportunities with organizations and grassroots efforts that reflect these values, and that are seeking to promote real, sustainable, and radical change, especially in vulnerable or underserved communities.

College Counselor & Executive AssistantZinkerz May 2019 - Aug 2020Boston, Massachusetts, United StatesI worked as a college counselor at an education start-up. I guided students through the college application process, and worked extensively on the primary components of each application. This entailed formatting and editing student resumes, helping students brainstorm, draft, and perfect their personal statements, thoroughly editing student essays and supplements, and meeting regularly to ensure students stayed on track with key steps in the process. When needed, I travelled to Panama for in-person meetings with students and families to work on college applications. During this time, I also regularly aided with the company's social media planning and management and organized office events to foster a warm company culture. Furthermore, I worked as the personal assistant of the head of the department and CEO of Zinkerz to help keep him and the department organized. This included organizing contact lists, login information, and documents for 100+ students, setting reminders and meetings for the CEO, being available for communication at any time, and occasionally assisting with personal tasks. I also served as the point of communication between the rest of the Zinkerz team and the CEO. -
