Workshop Education provides award winning after school academic enrichment classes. We specialize in teaching study skills and innovation classes, and provide ten classes weekly between school dismissal and 6 p.m. We currently offer our classes to approximately 600 students at nine K-8 Bay Area schools in Redwood City, Woodside, Montara, Half Moon Bay and Woodside. Our "flex scheduling" fits with other classes or sports – parents can request to add or drop a class the evening before. Our enrichment classes are a "Bay Area Parent Family Favorite," and have been featured in The New York Times, The Daily Journal, University of Virginia education magazine, and Design Thinking in Schools.

Created award-winning science and literacy units for NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory, wrote science and writing curriculum as well as delivered professional development for UC Berkeley's Bay Area Writing Project, provided quality enhancing instructional design review to Riverdeep's reading software, designed classroom library product lines for the Developmental Studies Center, and managed the timely and profitable production of books and software to train programmers at Apress.

Designed engaging online adaptive elementary math learning software and the underlying technical platform as producer. Organized technical, media, and editorial teams by applying diplomacy, initiative, and problem solving. Wrote product requirement documentation and functional specifications. Identified math standards for each grade level, and determined all pre-requisite math skills needed to master these standards in a team effort. Developed excellent prototype math lessons and exercises. Designed adaptive software to provide individualized math instruction.

Shaped stimulating curriculum for full-inclusion and English language learners. Served as the school leader for gifted and talented education. Promoted, organized, and led ongoing school reform case-study meetings. While teaching full-time, also worked as a consultant for UC Berkeley Bay Area Writing Project, providing professional development training to other teachers.

Developed 5-year technology plan for the elementary and high school. Organized a team to revise the K-8 science curriculum to reflect current standards and practices. While teaching full-time, also worked copyediting a book on science experiments for the Alternative Publishing Group, developed math products for Creative Publications, and consulted on a CD-ROM with the Olsen twins for Ikonic Interactive.

Successfully coordinated teams of authors, contributors, and reviewers, as well as production, marketing, and sales groups, to deliver three large text projects, their ancillaries, and three software projects on schedule and under budget. Acquired talented new authors and contributors, in addition to serving as developmental editor to craft superior products.
