I am dedicated to advancing disaster and climate change resilience research and practice. I seek and provide the latest risk data to facilitate informed decision-making at the individual and community level. In recent years I have applied this to municipalities (ICLR) and real estate portfolios (Coastal Risk Consulting). Prior, I worked to understand how individuals and communities perceive and make decisions under multi-natural hazard threats (University of British Columbia, PhD).

Phd Candidate, Applied ResearcherThe University Of British Columbia Sep 2016 - Sep 2022Vancouver, Canada AreaAs a PhD student at the Institute for Resource, Environment and Sustainability I studied risk perceptions and decision-making related to multi-hazards risks. My research interests focused on understanding how people perceive risks and make risk management decisions associated with natural hazards. My work took an interdisciplinary approach that includes expert elicitation, stakeholder engagement, and a systems perspective. My research was supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), Marine Environmental Observation Prediction and Response Network (MEOPAR), UBC Public Scholars Initiative, and the Liu Institute for Global Issues.
