Technical editing of various geoscience manuscripts, brochures and maps for the Geological Survey of New South Wales. Examples include Quarterly Notes 148, 152 and 153; a Cobar region geotourism brochure; and the Eastern Riverina basement and metallogenic map.

I was contracted by the Geological Survey of NSW to provide the majority of the geoscientific content for the Warrumbungle Volcano Geotrails, an app-based product showcasing the geology of Warrumbungle National Park for park visitors. My role included identifying, describing and illustrating dozens of geological sites, writing geological background material, compiling a glossary and content editing.

I was contracted by EMM Consulting to analyse and report on Cenozoic geodiversity features associated with Snowy 2.0, a major hydro-electrical engineering project within Kosciuszko National Park. This work included extensive literature review, spatial data interpretation, and reporting on the features and their management requirements. My report was included in the Snowy 2.0 Main Works Environmental Impact Statement.

I was contracted by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service to source boulder specimens for the geology garden of the new visitor centre. I also assisted with interpretation of these specimens and with geological outreach activities at the visitor centre opening.

I was contracted by the NSW Office of Environment & Heritage (OEH) to produce a digital geology map of Warrumbungle National Park based on field studies, review and compilation of historic data, and interpretation of new remotely sensed data. I undertook the work in collaboration with volcanologist Dr Kate Bull (Geological Survey of NSW, GSNSW). Our report is available through the GSNSW DIGS website. The GSNSW has produced a hard copy map 1:50,000 map based on our work. Our findings are summarised in a paper published in the Australian Journal of Earth Sciences.

I was contracted by the Geological Survey of NSW to stitch together and revise existing Cenozoic geology data across extensive parts of New South Wales to create seamless digital geological coverages. I also compiled, extended and revised the new Warrumbungle area digital geology data to enable it to be incorporated into the multi-layered Seamless Geology database.

I was contracted by the Geological Survey of NSW to produce detailed digital geological mapping of coastal Quaternary deposits of the Hunter to Illawarra regions to fill the geographical gap in this data set. I subsequently wrote a paper (Quarterly Note 146) explaining the project approach and outcomes. I also helped compile, edit and promote associated map products, including presenting papers at several NSW Coastal Conferences.

My role included work on land capability, geotechnical and environmental engineering projects. An additional focus was developing and supporting the utilisation of GIS and database applications. I played a major role in developing a company-wide spatial data system.

My main role was provision of detailed geological maps of Quaternary deposits of coastal New South Wales for the Coastal Quaternary Mapping Project and associated reporting. I was team leader in the final phase of the project. The Geological Survey of NSW have released numerous products based on the project output including digital data packages, hard copy map series and a bulletin.

My research focus was the mid-Cenozoic glacial, marine and volcanic rocks of the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica, and their implications for past climatic change and ice sheet development. Highlights included remote fieldwork in Antarctica and publication of two research papers in international journals (Journal of Sedimentary Research and Sedimentology).
