CurrentTax Resolution “JIRA” Subject Matter Expert (July 2021 – Present)• Act as the Tax Resolution team’s “Tier 2” support resource. Provide knowledge and technical support for all Gusto supported taxes and agencies to internal notice solvers to facilitate the effective communication and resolution of complex customer concerns and issues. • Verify intended and unintended system behavior, or tax filing/payment workflows, and coordinate with appropriate internal teams through process driven documentation to implement fixes/features/new workflows moving forward.• Perform weekly syncs to report on metrics. Identify outlier trends and areas of improvement for the JIRA process and Tax Resolution team. Assist with creating resources and trainings to provide team guidance in areas of improvement.Tax Resolution Large Scale Issue Subject Matter Expert (August 2020 – July 2021)• Supported the department's "Large Scale Issue" team, proactively addressing and resolving tax issues affecting a wide scope of customers simultaneously. Prevented or abated $350,000+ in penalties and interest resulting from these issues.• Created resources to allow Tax Resolution team to quickly identify and respond to notices related to the issue. Created mass communications to proactively inform impacted customers of the situation and how Gusto would be resolving.Tax Resolution Specialist (December 2019 – August 2020)• Acted as primary customer service representative and resolve Federal, State, & Local tax notices for customers processing their payroll in Gusto. Amended and created necessary tax forms to resolve account issues. Submitted written requests and supporting documentation to remove or reduce penalties/interest assessed on customer accounts.
