Alex Bonacci began playing the drums at the age of seven.He attended a Berklee College course where he had the pleasure to study with Ron Savage, Ken Cervenka and Matthew Nicholl and meet many great artists from all over the world.He attended several master-classes and studied with different great musicians, such as Jeff Berlin, Omar Hakim, Peter Erskine, Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez, Aaron Spears, Chris Coleman, Dave Weckl, JoJo Mayer, Maurizio Dei Lazzaretti, Pat Martino, Steve Smith, Keith Carlock, Dennis Chambers, Miroslav Vitous, Furio Chirico, Larry Monroe, Kiko Loureiro, Daryl Lowery, etc.He took part in many radio and television programs (RaiDue, RadioDue, Sky, etc.) and in many important music contests with different artists (Coca Cola contest, Sanremo Rock, Premio Musicultura, Rock Targato Italia, etc.).Tony Levin, William Jones, Roberto Diana, Alessia D’Andrea (Jethro Tull, Ian Anderson, David Arch, etc.), All the Mornings of the World, JP Cervoni, the Vincent, Stephan Zeh, Vince Tempera, James Raymond, Brian Ray, Stefano Olla, The Sunny Boys (Italian Tour 2011 and European Tour 2012), Lowlands (“Gypsy child European Tour 2011”), Neil Zaza, Florian Opahle, Ive (Eurovision 2009 finalist), Franco Catricalà, Ivan Battistella, “Rigo” Righetti (Ligabue), Dj Molella, Emanuele Frusi, Timerec, Simone Borghi... Those are some of the great musicians, sound engineers and producers whom Alex Bonacci has worked with.He is founder and headteacher of the music school "PERFORM School of music" and national contact person of the Music Learning Contact (Nottingham) and his school is also official partner of the I.c.m.p. the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (London) and official examination centre "Trinity College London" and "RSL Awards".He is also director of the Turin official branches of the national school “La casa del batterista”.
