I started my own painting company while in college in January 2012. At first, I was the only employee and handled all physical labor associated with the job and all business aspects of it. After successfully training employees to handle all of the physical labor I was able to focus on the sales, management, and accounting associated with the business. I learned how to run a business from experience and from the advice of other local business owners. I take great pride in my leadership abilities and my capacity to run a successful business that is constantly expanding. I have since grown it into one of the largest rental property painting companies in Southwest Michigan.

We are a nonprofit focused on bringing resources to local schools to inform students on the different types of career pathways they can have in the scientific community. STEM programs are degrees associated with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and our goal is to give students, teachers, and parents the resources they need to help students make a career choice that best reflects their individual talents and interests. Serving as a Local City Planning Commissioner has given me the management, organizational, and public skills necessary to lead our organization.
