About Alex Budak
I'm a social entrepreneur, author, and faculty member at UC Berkeley, dedicated to helping people spark change, find fulfillment, and make an impact wherever they go. I put my heart and soul into teaching, and hold faculty appointments at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and School of Public Health, where my classes and executive programs teach students to think, act, and lead differently -- and have even inspired student tattoos. My book, "Becoming a Changemaker," is being translated into 25 languages and was named by CNBC as a "top 5 non-fiction book everyone should be reading about work." I began my hands-on, community-driven change work as co-founder of StartSomeGood. The platform has raised millions of dollars to help launch and scale new change efforts in over 50 countries.A proud graduate of UCLA and Georgetown University, I speak on leadership, change, and meaning around the world, from Ukraine to Cambodia, and at organizations like Accenture, Lyft, and UNHCR.A few more things: I love traveling (39 countries and counting), trying new workouts, and spending time with my favorite changemakers—my wife Rebecca and our toddler son. I also once learned the hard way to never go budget skydiving.CONNECT!website: http://alexbudak.comemail: alex@alexbudak.com
