Provide expert meteorological assessment and consultation on a project evaluating predictive wastewater flow forecasting for wet weather operations at the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD).

Responsible for all day-day operations of the forecast & decision support service, and student internships. Oversee 15+ staff & student interns, going forecasts, and professional development. Manage partner relationships and recruitment. Oversee product development and implementation. Guide student-led intern development programs and aid in university relations. Coordinate COVID-19 adaptations, a transition to remote operations, and office location moves.

In addition to continuing all "Meteorologist" responsibilities. act as the lead programmer and IT manager within the Innovative Weather operation. Maintain and update all office hardware and software, proprietary Python-based products and data sources, as well as Bufkit atmospheric sounding data, GR2Analyst radar software, Thunderbird and Outlook email clients, Photoshop, Microsoft office, and FTP clients. Develop and implement forecast product improvements and upgrades. Assist in internship student mentoring, and help maintain a healthy office culture with the guidance of IW leadership.

Act as an operational meteorologist, covering forecasting duties on a rotating 24/7 schedule with a team in a small office setting. Create forecasts and risk assessment's, and provide decisions support services (DSS) to a wide range of weather-impacted clients across the Midwest, spanning many sectors. Perform live and pre-recorded radio forecasts, as well as social media/graphical forecasts. During impactful weather events provide real-time weather alerts, utilizing GRLevel2 Radar software, observational data, numerical models, maritime models, and geographical knowledge.

Prepared for an operational meteorologist role at Innovative Weather by learning the forecast process, and effective weather risk assessment and communication. Enhanced in-class learning with MetED modules, case studies, and forecast practice. Trained on audio in preparation for radio broadcasts.
