With over 125 highly experienced employees, with an extensive background in the manufacturing of low volume production and prototype parts for the Aerospace, Automotive, Alternative Energy, National Defense, and General Manufacturing industries. UHI is a tier 1 supplier of class A aluminum / steel stampings, sheet hydroforming, complex welded assemblies, and hemmed body closures on a 7 Building campus with over 120,000 sq. ft. in Sterling Heights Michigan. Our equipment list consists of: 25 major stamping presses, 4 of which are part of a brand new “2018” 180" press line with a 3800 ton Danly lead toggle press, followed by a 1600 ton mechanical, and 2 -1000 ton mechanical presses, 6 – NTC 5 axis lasers, 9 CNC mills, 3 CMM's, 4 robotic welding cells / 15 hanging spot welding stations, mig / tig welding, roller hemming, Atos blue light scanning, aluminum heat treating furnaces, vacuum heat treating, brazing furnace, and an state of the art engineering department utilizing CatiaV5, NX, Tebis, Autoform, Gom and work NC.
