Member of the specialist structures and facades team, working with glass, steel, cables and carbon fibre for buildings and marine applications. Currently working on a number of international projects from Europe, China, Thailand and Japan. I am responsible for desinging a range of large-span glass structures (12m+), cable-net facades (20m+), down to bespoke solid stainless steel details with due consideration for both aesthetics and structural performance.

Project engineer on the 20 Old Bailey refurbishment. Have been responsible for the design/justification of the existing structure and structural alterations, including RC slab infills/extensions, steel-to-concrete connections and new steel frame floors.

Cyprus

During my tenure with JAP I specialized in building structural design and seismic analysis. I conceptualized, verified and produced calculations and drawings for the structural systems of a number of small projects. I modeled the systems using finite elements, solved with using static and response spectrum analyses and extracted the necessary information to enable designing the elements. I was also responsible for justifying my designs to building control and proving how seismic requirements were met.In addition I was tasked to review our internal design process and identify methods and ways to improve it. As part of that, I developed a set of computer tools that simplified and reduced the time required to complete certain design tasks.I was also tasked to aid in the design of a large steel truss dome with hexagonal aluminium panels. For this I developed a set of parametric tools in Rhino, in the process helping to optimize the design.
