Staff Registered Nurse
Current- Provide comprehensive care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions, utilizing therapeutic communication techniques and evidence-based interventions to foster positive patient outcomes.- Conduct thorough mental and physical health assessments, developing individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists.- Administer psychotropic medications, closely monitor patient responses, and adjust care plans as needed to ensure safety and efficacy in treatment.- Implement crisis intervention strategies for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes, effectively de-escalating situations and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.- Lead patient and family education sessions on mental health diagnoses, treatment options, medication management, and coping strategies, empowering patients and their families to engage in recovery processes.- Facilitate group therapy sessions, promoting patient interaction, emotional expression, and social skills development in a structured therapeutic environment.- Coordinate with external care providers, social services, and community resources to ensure continuity of care and support upon patient discharge.- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and maintain detailed documentation in patient medical records to support treatment planning and legal requirements.- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to developing unit policies to improve patient care standards and operational efficiency.
