I am working with a number of family offices and government relations specialists as an adviser.I have previously lived and worked in (or travelled to) the UAE and Latin America for nearly 25 years. Beginning with senior diplomatic postings at the British Embassies in Santiago, Nicosia and Abu Dhabi, I developed extensive relationships and a profound knowledge and understanding of the respective subtleties of ruling family politics in the UAE and Latin American internal politics and business. After leaving the diplomatic service in 2008, I worked for a range of clients in the UK, the UAE and Latin America on issues ranging from direct investment, political and business development strategy, government relations and crisis management. I advised blue-chip companies with significant existing operations on their political engagement strategy, while also giving Board-level advice to AIM-listed companies with local JV relationships. I helped to design communications messaging strategies for government agencies and major corporates operating in the UAE.More widely, I developed an extensive network of contacts with expertise across the Gulf region and Latin America as a whole.
