Summer internship near Munich, Germany as a part of the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD) (German Academic Exchange Service). Worked on conceptual design of new prototypes for high speed automated plastic stretching machinery utilizing linear motor technology. Performed conceptual design, analysis and calculations through to detailed design for prototype manufacture and testing and analysis of prototypes with respect to design requirements.

Work with a team of engineers to develop unique robotic and automation solutions for warehouse and distribution applications. Initial responsibilities were to develop 3D solid model of conceptual robotic systems for proposals and sales presentations. Additional duties were added to take designs from other engineers and develop detailed fabrication drawings. Recently given lead mechanical design responsibility for development projects.

Worked as the primary production design engineer responsible for taking received order forms and creating a custom wheelchair model and production drawings for in house manufacturing. Also worked with other engineers on product improvements and new product development design tasks. Improved product documentation and user manuals as well as assisting with production and assembly between engineering tasks.
