After more than 25 years in private practice and the corporate world, I am now using my skills and experience to, hopefully, make a difference in the 'for purpose' sector. In early 2024, I joined the Treaty Authority in a contract role to support the inaugural Members to create a strong, effective and culturally safe organisation. I have now decided to stay on as General Counsel. I am so grateful to the Members for putting their trust in me and feel privileged to walk with all Victorian First Peoples on this historic journey. My consulting business, Phronesis Legal & Advisory, will go into hibernation, as I devote my time to the Treaty Authority as it plays its critical role as the independent body overseeing Treaty negotiations in Victoria. I am excited to be playing a small part in the Treaty process to improve the lives of First Peoples and deliver better outcomes for all Victorians.
