NuTech Synergies offers a disruptive, direct approach to successfully connecting novel technologies with patients who are looking for new solutions and the O&P patient care providers who serve them. I manage the clinical education network for all southwestern states.

Maintained a busy prosthetic and orthotic patient load, while being a part of the leadership team tasked with improving administrative, clinical, and technical processes.Provided care to 7 patients who underwent osseointegration limb reconstruction, ensuring high-level outcomes.Created and supervised a new residency program and coordinated all internship requests.Gave yearly guest lectures at UNLV, Touro University, and PIMA Med. Developed innovative healthcare technologies with applications in resource-poor countries, e.g. low-cost laryngeal endoscope for Vietnam.Successfully led and coordinated local feasibility studies for a novel antiretroviral medication delivery method (“Pratt Pouch”) in Ecuador, Zambia and Tanzania. This published research demonstrated greatly improved dosing accuracy and potential to reach patients in rural communities when compared to currently available methods.Assessed the impact and effectiveness of global medical device donation processes, specifically in: Rwanda, Cambodia and Honduras.Coordinated and led engineering summer programs in Nicaragua (2013) and Tanzania (2014). Responsibilities included: teaching electronic lab classes; maintaining/ growing local relationships and technical troubleshooting.

Developed, implemented and evaluated interactive K-12 STEM curricula placing engineering in context with a resource-poor setting.Successfully piloted three national curricula at NC State summer camps, Girl Scout meets and elementary/ middle school extracurricular workshops (approx. 1000 students total).Gained experience in grant writing; meeting deadlines and team working (nationally and internationally)Participated in an intensive medical equipment training program and Spanish course in Nicaragua.
