Alex is an aspiring architect, designer, musician, and DJ based in Los Angeles, California. With over 10 years of experience as designer, his technical drafting and 3D modeling skills are highly sought after for fabrication and construction projects to large-scale public art, computational design, site plans for music festivals, and lighting designs for nightclubs, and other special events.Currently, Alex works as a computational designer coordinating the installation for over 1200 curved fiberglass-reinforced polymer (FRP) panels on a geometrically complex museum project in Southern California. Prior to his current position, Alex worked for Arktura as a Job Captain where he developed technical drawings for custom architectural systems like perforated metal panels, sculptural light fixtures, acoustical features, and more. During the pandemic, Alex worked on several Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU's), residential remodeling projects, and served as construction manager for a high-end retail project on Melrose Place. While at Goldenvoice, he worked as a design production manager on site plans, capital improvements, permanent infrastructure, and drawing packages for engineering artwork and stage production for large scale music festivals like Coachella, Stagecoach, Desert Trip, Camp Flog Gnaw, and Arroyo Seco Weekend. Before working in production, he made fabrication drawings and was a project coordinator for sculptor Cliff Garten. Alex has additional software development experience for a LADWP dust control project at Owens Lake while working for Landscape Morphologies Lab, researched and prototyped airform concrete construction techniques for residential projects with Douglas Stanton, and worked construction on low-income, adaptive re-use, LEED Gold and Platinum certified housing for bcWORKSHOP in Dallas, Texas.Need advice on a project?
