Lead of the R&D System Quality Assurance group at Navico Mexico Responsibilities:- Create and implement the group’s global strategy and fitting it within the global R&D strategy.- Coordinate with global leads for all other engineering disciplines to ensure best practices and alignment- Resource allocation for local projects, - Create test strategies, test scenarios and test cases.- In Charge of the global NMEA2k Certification.- Jira Bug tracking management - Internal validation, and external validation customers, working directly with customers to validate products and overseeing the global validation with customers.- Coaching the SQA team.- Develop, and execute automated and manual test suites for Maritime electronics: Radars, Sonar, GPS, Autopilots, and Sensors, with CAN and Ethernet networks.- Provide support to manufacturing.- Testing Boat duties and control

-New Designs ValidationThe new products validation is carried out by testing the whole product as a system at the laboratory and on the field, ensuring the product meets and exceeds customer requirements, reducing customer return units, which means savings guarantees. As SQA be part of R&D, there has been a lot of design errors reduction due SQA early intervention throughout all the design process.- Responsible of prepare and track the Tests scenarios and the Test plan. Accountable of find, contact and work with the Validation costumers. In charge of bring the feedback information from the validation costumers to R&D area.- Accountable of Field validation, in charge of acquiring and collect feedback of new Software or Hardware version from the user point of view. Ocean and Inland validation.

-Develop and execute test cases in relation to FRD's and DRD's:The implementation and execution of the test cases helps to ensure that the products meets the customer requirements, established on the functional requirements document (FRD) and Design requirements document (DRD).-Full experience and operation of marine electronics (Radar, Sonar, GPS, sensors, etc):Developing test on the field have created a lot customers and marine products users interaction obtaining a lot of feedback from them to improve products.-Jira and Test Link experience:Using Jira and Test Link (Software Tool) has greatly improved the errors found in the system and be properly fixed by developers.
