A significant part of my role was responding to the announcement that the organisation will be abolished in 2013 following the Health White Paper. This required 3 reorganisations with consultations and managing a number of redundancies whilst maintaining high performance and a focus of high quality care to deliver cost saving initiatives. On match days I managed all the staff related to the care and assistance of disabled supporters. I continued to provide a working group, focused on the match day experience of disabled supporters. All the work was closely co-ordinated with Football in the Community who organise a variety of specialist football and multi sports course for disabled persons and we often organised events together for those interested. Achievements I had developed strong communication skills by dealing with a wide variety of people and this was strengthened by attending a one day course on British Sign Language specifically to football. I took on much greater levels of responsibility and enhanced my leadership abilities.
