Along with the help of other Mechanical ambassadors, I would spend 30-45 minutes presenting highlights of the Mechanical Engineering program at Clemson to the prospective students and their families. I would then open the floor for any questions the prospective students or their families may have regarding life at Clemson to aid their decision. During the fall semester, tour groups varied in size from 20 to 40 people. During the spring semester, group sizes varied from 80 to 150 people. -
Mechanical Engineering Co-OpSealed Air Corporation Jan 2014 - Aug 2015Charlotte, Nc, UsAs part of the Engineering department, I worked individually and with other engineers to change, update, and create new drawings that the plant floor technicians use to build food packaging machines. I also familiarized myself with Cryovac's software programs that the engineers use in conjunction with 2D and 3D modeling programs to correctly document changes made to drawings. I also undertook several projects that would usually begin with a mechanical problem reported to us by our customers or field service technicians. I collaborated with these customers, other engineers, and plant floor technicians to come up with a solution, as well as document it and update any engineering drawings to include the solution in the future. Other projects include research and development for Sealed Air's next generation of packaging machines.I completed three coop rotations with Sealed Air Corporation, totaling one calendar year of engineering experience. -
