When I joined Mous their UK design team was just two engineers, my main objectives were to grow the team and increase the number of products Mous made across multiple categories. Two years later, the design team is 15 strong. We grew our product offerings from less than 100 skus to 300 skus, and did so whilst hiring, raising private equity investment implementing a new product development process. My time at Mous was short and very fast-paced, ultimately I loved being part of the management team there and working with some of the most talented designers I've ever met.

At CRL I personally worked with over 35 businesses, spanning multiple product categories & industries. My role was to ensure the companies kept their products on track and hit their next big milestone, whether that waspreparing for investment, crowdfunding campaign or preparing for a successful production run. I built CRL’s Shenzhen/Dongguan manufacturing network & I was responsible for orchestrating the right introductions. I learnt a crazy amount about real-world product development and entrepreneurship at CRL, ultimately I left to pursue more independence and the ability to create great products at a larger scale for Mous.

Accountable for ensuring all aspects of the product meet high expectations. 3D Prototyping – Daily use of SLS/SLA/Objett/Vacuum Casting/Machining/Lathe/Mill prototyping in order to thoroughly test product performance.Concept development & Rig Building – Iterative design development & testing using proof of concept rigs. Cost and BoM Management – BoM owner, accountable for assembly of 60+ parts. Advanced CAD & Drafting skills – GA owner and manager. Responsible for producing engineering drawings for manufacturing quotations & DFM feedback. (NX)Design for Assembly – Conduct DFA reviews to ensure assembly process, part & fastener count are as lean as possible. FMEA Owner – Responsible for communicating top FMEA risks, ensuring they drive priorities and workloads.Material Selection – Responsible for providing engineering, cost & additional rationale for each part’s material choice. Design for Injection Moulding – Host training for Dyson engineers on the principles for design for injection moulding. GD&T – Responsible for ensuring the significant amount of tolerance analysis is completed throughout development on every project as they approach manufacturing.
