Conducted research (will be published in the IEEE Xplore journal) on a secure mobile authentication alternative. It allows for a mobile phone to distinguish between users solely by their grip on the phone. That way, the phone unlocks (or remains locked) by the time it is picked up. The project scanned hand biometrics using structure-borne sound. No additional sensors or hardware was needed beyond what is present in all modern phones already (only a microphone and speaker).
