I direct campus-wide financial wellness programming including hiring and management of 13 student employees who facilitate group and one-on-one educational sessions with peers and their families. Evaluations from team members and clients inform programmatic and organizational improvements. Noteworthy improvements:• Implemented cultural competency, interpersonal communication, and public speaking skills in employee training.• Established internal work interest groups to leverage employees' skills while addressing organizational needs.• Developed 12 new presentations covering financial literacy basics, financial psychology, and student financial lifecycle from admissions through early professional life.• Prioritized audience engagement and hands-on learning in group sessions.• Created comprehensive budgeting, paying for college, and life after college guidebooks with digital tools for skill-building.• Coordinated integrated, multi-modal marketing efforts.• Utilized campus technology to develop a system to identify and proactively support financially at-risk students. This project launched in July 2023 and will result in an analytics tool (est. June 2024) to direct prioritization and intensity of outreach to incoming students.Demonstrated success in organizational and client outcomes include:• Achieved a 27% increase in total student client touchpoints from FY22 to FY23, including a 158% rise in one-on-one meetings and a 49% increase in touchpoints with financially at-risk students.• Received a 46% increase in requests for on-demand presentations to classes and campus organizations.• Demonstrated significant reductions in client financial stress after financial coaching sessions: ○ Extreme stress decreased from 38.3% to 7.5% of respondents. ○ Low-stress ratings increased from 29.2% to 70.8% of respondents. ○ Average 20% stress reduction. Higher for respondents with pre-stress ratings of 3, 4, and 5 (32%, 40%, and 35.8% respectively).
