Alexander Evans offers his expertise on matters relating to Indonesian political risk, public policy and government affairs, stakeholders engagement, business/corporate development and M&A. He has worked in both private and public sectors for the past 15+ years. In October 2016, Alexander was taking a position at the Cascade Asia Advisors LLC., while maintaining his director presence at Sampoerna Global Workforce Solutons. His tenure with Sampoerna ended in December 2016. Prior to these roles, Alexander was the Country Director for Indonesia and ASEAN Affairs at the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), a trade policy and advocacy group that represents more than 140 U.S leading firms doing business in Southeast Asia. During his work with the Council, Alexander also teamed up with the U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Department of Commerce in Jakarta to promote the U.S-led Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), Commercial Dialogue and the 2013 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Bali.Previously, Alexander worked for several years with Singapore and Jakarta-based international strategic consulting firms serving multinational companies from Australia, Europe, Far-East, and North America to become more successful in Indonesia. In this capacity, he worked as a strategy consultant covering a broad range of topics, including business expansion, partner selection & evaluation, competitive analysis, political & regulatory risks, and economic governance.Alexander holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics with disctinction from Satya Wacana Christian University. He began his first professional career at strategic advisory firm headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia, helping the Global 1000 to research, analyze, and anticipate policy/regulatory disruptions, and interpret external occurences that challenge clients competitiveness and strategies.
