Alex Gardner received his doctorate from Michigan State University in Higher, Adult and Lifelong Education with a dissertation entitled “Education, Employability, and the Michigan Workforce: Manufacturing Employer Perceptions of Credentials, Motivations for Supporting Degree Completion, and Barriers to Adult Enrollment.” Alex also holds master’s in Human Resources and Labor Relations from Michigan State University and a Bachelors in Psychology from Kalamazoo College. Alex has spent time in China (Beijing, Nanjing, and Shanghai) where he studied Human Resources and Labor Relations and Cuba (Havana and Vinales) where he studied Access and Equity in Education and Workforce Development.
