Relevant Education is an (embryonic) educational program seeking to inform and inspire our next generation who have to guide Humanity through the most consequential 25 years in our history.Our civilization is headed for a major transition of some sort. It's no longer a question of "if", it's just a question of "when". The next 25 year are going to be crucial. And this is a LOT more than climate change.There are no ready-made solutions or proven paths to get through this. Or experts who know what needs to be done. Humanity's future depends on there being enough people who have at least something of a clue; who talk and discuss and learn; who adjust their lives in efficacious ways; who make informed and considered decisions; who refine their intuitions; and and who take wise actions. This means that we all - but particularly our next generation - need:- a broad understanding of many topics - to question established assumptions, conventions and categories- to think (and feel) very differently – with wider, more inclusive perspectivesBut mainstream education, including University, is not meeting this need. It is educating for ‘business as usual’. (Prolog was the language selected by the Japanese for their very ambitious "Fifth Generation Computers" national project in answer to the growing investment in the USA in Artificial Intelligence technologies.)
