I lived and worked on two privately owned, and one charter yacht. As a stewardess, my responsibility was to maintain the interior of the vessel and serve the guests on board. Living with a group of 4-7 crew members on board, this was a great way to expand my team work skills. We would have breakfast, lunch and dinner together as well as work side by side to give our guests the best experience possible while they were enjoying their holiday. As a crew member, I had specifics roles during fire drills, man overboard drills, and over all team building with my fellow crew members to ensure our safety at all times.To gain my position as a stewardess, I first had to go through a tedious training course called "STCW-95" which consists of Basic Fire-fighting, Personal Survival Skills, First-aid/CPR and Social Responsibility. This course is a mandatory requirement for every crew member on board a yacht.

Hingham Shipyard Marinas is your destination for all your marina needs. At Hingham Shipyard, I was held responsible for assisting boaters in anyway necessary. I would complete daily dock walks,keep track of inventory at the gas dock, answer VHF Radio calls, reserve transient guests slips and take boaters from the main dock to their moorings slips on a launch boat. I also helped in the marina office as needed by answering phone calls, questions and handling any other inquiries customers had.
