That is a description that exactly expresses how I feel and see it, photography is a union of love and light.I prefer to work project based and my main focus lies on social and cultural issues. Portrait photography, especially conceptual portraits, documentary photography and landscape photography are the genres I feel most at home to.In a world, wherein now a lot of fear, frustration and anger passes by I think it is important to keep an eye on compassion, love and affection, joy and pleasure.At the moment, I’m style wise mostly inspired by photographers from the 19th and early 20th century like Julia Margaret Cameron, Gertrude Käsebier, Alvin Langdon Coburn, Edward Steichen, Alfred Stieglitz, Eugene Atget, Walker Evans and Ansel Adams. Minimalism also strongly appeals to me.Besides a professional there’s also a personal side to photography. Since I know I belong within the autistic spectrum photography has gradually been playing an important role in my development as a human being.For me, it is an important medium to express that what I cannot always express verbally or physically and it makes it easier to come into contact with others. My autism doesn’t always allow me to take an active part in the social life, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not interested in other people, on the contrary, my photos are a way to express my curiosity towards and interest in the fellow human being.
