Alex Hunter is a Relocation Consultant for both Atlas Transfer & Storage, an agent for Allied Van Lines, and Oakley Relocation, an agent for North American Van Lines. Both firms are full service moving and storage companies serving the greater San Diego area. Ms. Hunter began her career in the relocation industry in 1999, after spending more than 25 years in aerospace and hotel management. Ms. Hunter is extremely detailed in her estimating techniques, allowing her to identify the unique, individual moving requirements of her clients and how best to fulfill those needs. Throughout the entire relocation process, she provides preferred scheduling, transparent pricing and superior customer service. During Ms. Hunter’s professional career in aerospace, split between McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis and General Dynamics in San Diego, she was responsible for the procurement of a $30 million top secret space program. In addition, she served as the department's Total Quality Management Coordinator/Facilitator and Assistant to the Material’s Vice President with a monthly operating budget of $1.5 million in a department of 700 plus employees. After departing the aerospace industry, Ms. Hunter accepted a position with the banquet department of the DoubleTree Hotel. For five years between San Diego and Chicago, she applied her corporate skills of streamlining processes and procedures; team building; and identifying customer needs, meeting critical deadlines and delivering superior quality of service.Ms. Hunter’s hometown is West Plains, Missouri. She attended schools in Illinois, Missouri and California. An important aspect of her life is her work ethic, and she demonstrates steadfast loyalty to her family, friends, employer and co-workers. At every level of her life, Ms. Hunter has maintained honesty and integrity.Outside of professional interests, Ms. Hunter travels widely, enjoys rollerblading, most sports, golf, exercise and reading.
