Profile bio

About Alexia Carrillo, Ph.D.

An analytical, critical thinker with a passion for serving and empowering others to succeed is how I can best serve your business. My love of teaching and utilizing psychology to best deliver material and interact with others combined with years of acquiring and analyzing data as a scientist makes me a unique but valuable asset to have. From my time as a research scientist, I mastered analyzing data, asking critical questions, anticipating negative outcomes, and managing multiple ongoing projects at once. My research areas covered oncology, DNA damage/repair, and immunology. Being passionate about empowering others, I took my skills as a scientist and applied them to STEM outreach where I taught advanced level STEM courses to high school students. For 3 years, I created curriculum, developed assessments, evaluated and researched various metrics to determine program performance, and taught advanced material in an easy-to-understand way while providing constructive feedback. In addition, I was part of a team that wrote and acquired a state-funded grant to hold a professional development workshop for STEM teachers in our county. During the workshop, we shared how these neuroscience concepts could be incorporated into STEM courses adhering to standards (NGSS) in a seamless fashion. I then turned my love of teaching toward the internet and created a website where I teach others how to start an online business. This entrepreneurial endeavor has involved content marketing, SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, Pinterest strategy and ads, creating graphics for use on Pinterest, and creating digital products such as courses. Specific skills and talents worth highlighting include:

Listed skills include Tissue Culture, Cell Culture, Cell Biology, Dna Damage, and 23 others.
