I am an alumni of the University of North Texas having majored in Biology and a minor in Chemistry and History. I was also a student athlete, as I swam for UNT and swam for as long as I can remember. It has helped me form lifelong relationships and I have acquired great time management skills through balancing school and sports all throughout my schooling career. On campus I was not only an athlete but also a part of three clubs. I was a member of the Pre-Dental Society and held three officer positions during my time. PDS is a great way to meet other pre-dental students and learn more about volunteer and shadowing opportunities, as well as; preparation for the DAT. I was apart of COHAP which is a groups that advocates for children oral health and volunteers their time to educate kids about oral hygiene. I was also a member of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity which is a gender inclusive fraternity that focuses on scholarship, fellowship, and leadership giving each member an opportunity to give back to their community. I held two officer positions during my time. I plan on attending dental school and eventually practicing general dentistry. It has been a long time coming, deciding that this is what I want to do, however I have always been hardworking and determined and believe I have what it takes to get me there. As a worker I find that I am extremely dependable and am there when needed. I do not like to let others down and I am always organized. Being a student athlete has instilled the importance of schedules and deadlines in me throughout the years. I am also easy to talk to and can strike a conversation with almost anyone. Outside of an academic and work setting I love doing things for myself like relaxing and watching Netflix or reading. It's a way for me to escape for a while and my favorite genre of books is fantasy. Also love spending time with my cat.
