• Created and implemented therapeutic programming with emphasis on life skills and personal development with client advocacy within and outside the agency.• Adapted recreation programming activities to accommodate special needs youth and adolescents with dual-diagnosis. Stay up-to-date with new trends and adapt programs and services to meet changing client needs.• Performed administrative tasks necessary to organize activities on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis. Monitors and ensures activities are within recreation budget that is provided by management.

• Utilized a client-centered approach to youth with cognitive disabilities; specializing in treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD). Provided high levels of support and supervision in areas of daily living; education, behaviour management, and community involvement.• Performed all administrative tasks necessary to support program. (i.e. case notes, incident/accident reports, etc.). Administered medication to individuals in accordance with established policies and procedures, and ensure health and safety standards are maintained. Attends to the physical, emotional, and medical needs of the children or youth.

• Collaborated with nurses, social workers, and doctors with assessing patient for suicidal risk, mental status, patient history, and safety planning. • Provided 1:1 support for young patients with suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviours, and dual-diagnoses.• Documented and participated in the development of an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the child/family and other health care team members.
