The CPMI accelerates ambitious climate action and capital mobilization through robust rules and guidance for voluntary corporate action and disclosures, and by building the next generation of high-integrity carbon and environmental services markets. In this role she serves on the U.S. Technical Advisory Council for ISO, the Board of the Integrity Council for Voluntary Carbon Markets (IC VCM), the Expert Advisory Group of the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI), the Board of the Advanced and Indirect Mitigation Platform and the Board of the Center for Green Market Activation.

Serve as Board alternate and advisor for Dee Lawrence, Founder of High Tide Foundation on the Integrity Council for Voluntary Carbon Markets. Represented High Tide Foundation on Advisory Board and Governance Working Group of the Task Force for Scaling Voluntary Carbon Markets.

Lead design and implementation of Netflix's Net Zero + Nature by 2022 commitment to Reduce, Retain and Remove carbon. Implementing public climate targets of SBT and Net Zero + Nature, building carbon credit strategy and successfully diligenced, procured, and retired 1.5M tons of carbon credits in 2021. Put company on track to deliver on SBT and manage implementation of internal emission reduction strategy across operations and productions with cross-functional team focused on renewable energy procurement, energy efficiency, vehicle electrification, clean and mobile power generation. Conducted first company wide climate risk assessment and lead investment strategy for nature based solutions and renewable energy.

Support partners and clients in full value chain net zero and decarbonization strategy design and implementation. Lead global carbon markets and removals practice with Fortune 500 and non-profit clients on high-quality offset procurement, diligence and policy. Lead assessment of carbon, capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) opportunities in the U.S. Serve on the Expert Advisory Group of the Science Based Target Initiative's Net Zero Expert Advisory Group representing EDF and Engie Impact and as the Co-Chair of the Low Emissions Development Strategy Global Partnership.

Founder of Electric Capital Management (ECM). ECM specialized in climate and clean energy policy and finance advisory services to accelerate the transition to the clean energy economy for government, philanthropy, non-profits, corporations and family offices.

Alexia was a Partner at Allotrope Partners where she built a multimillion-dollar advisory practice focused on public private partnerships and blended capital structuring for low carbon infrastructure and asset development in emerging markets.

Advise senior Department of State officials on a range of climate change mitigation issues, including: market based mechanisms under the UNFCCC, emissions trading policy, GHG emissions accounting, subnational engagement and cooperation and low emissions development strategies.

Direct DoS’ fast start finance initiatives on low emissions development (LEDS) across 25+ countries on behalf of the Special Envoy for Climate Change. Develop and provide strategic direction and guidance to USG implementing team of 200+ personnel. Co-founded the LEDS Global Partnership, a 160+ member organization formed to cooperatively advance low emissions development globally. Manage execution of the joint DOS/USAID Agency Priority Goal on Climate Change, overseen by the Deputy Secretary of State. Lead negotiator for the U.S. on market-based mechanisms and emissions trading at the UNFCCC. Represent the U.S. to World Bank climate change funds addressing REDD+ and market readiness.

Served as a limited-term energy and climate change Program Officer in the Conservation and Science program at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. Advised senior foundation staff on climate change mitigation investment opportunities and strategy, liaised with the Climate Works Foundation and interfaced with key partners and grantees.

Alexia Kelly served as a Senior Associate in the World Resources Institute’s (WRI) Climate and Energy Program. Alexia’s work at WRI focused on greenhouse gas emission markets and the role of greenhouse gas offsets in emerging climate change mitigation policy.

Alexia was the Policy Program Manager at The Climate Trust from 2006-2009. At The Climate Trust, Alexia was responsible for the development and execution of the organization’s policy engagement strategy and initiatives. She also served as the Program Manager for the Offset Quality Initiative, a collaborative policy consortium of six leading non-profits in the GHG offset field. Founded in 2007 by The Climate Trust, OQI provides leadership on greenhouse gas offset policy and best practices. As Program Manager Alexia managed the development and execution of OQI’s strategy, policy initiatives and fundraising efforts.
