About Alexia Rodriguez Diaz, Ph.D.

I am a Telecomunication IT Engineer with a Master in Business Administration (MBA) and a Ph.D. (AI models for Air Traffic Management). I am currently working in the Digital Transformation of the spanish Supply Chain at ArcelorMittal Europe. I have worked as business strategy consultant for media companies and as Air Traffic Management Engineer at Indra before. As a STEAM enthusiast, since June 2018, I am a board member of the Public Corporation of Telecommunication Engineers of Spain and I coordinate the group " STEAM Horizon" in order to visibilize and promote initiatives that encourage youths (specially women) to pursue a STEAM career. I have always pursued the excellence in education. After finishing my Master Thesis at KU Leuven, I was awarded with fellowship of "La Caixa" Foundation for carrying out a postgraduate in Master Business Administration in order to improve my knowledge in finance, project management, strategy and marketing. In 2019 I have finished a PhD, where I proposed 3 different ways to optimize runway capacity for air traffic management through AI (metaheuristics algorithms) with Cum Laude.
