During the pandemic, this meant I launched our coronavirus live updates each morning while working with a reporter to write up any early news or overnight happenings in time for our Morning Brief newsletter at 7 a.m. I also was a member of the Times' Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, style committee, newsroom and companywide mentorship programs and newsroom internship program.

During my time in the Times’ Sports department, I guided coverage of many major events, including the Sounders’ run to the 2019 MLS Cup title, Seattle getting an NHL team (and the announcement of the Kraken name), Ichiro's retirement in Japan during the wee hours in Seattle, Russell Wilson's midnight contract extension and a story on Seahawks political donations.
