Alexis Appling, Owner and CEO of Appling Hospice Care, has worked in the healthcare industry for many years. Starting out as a phlebotomist and assisting in senior living facilities, she witnessed many people from all walks of life suffering from pain and loneliness.When her grandmother needed in-home care, she knew she could not bear to witness her being left alone or mistreated, so she took on the task of becoming her grandmother’s sole caregiver while taking care of her newborn baby. As time went on, she needed to bring in additional support to provide 24/7 care. This introduced her to the process of finding gentle, competent, and respectful caregivers. It was during this time that she began working on building her own Hospice Agency to help other families through this process. As the Owner, Alexis’ focus is to provide the same level of support and trust for everyone she works with.
