I recently graduated in the Fall of 2017 from ULL with a bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I maintained a 3.5 GPA with a cumulative GPA of 3.8 in my major. As a bartender/waitress, I am aware of the effort, attention, and patience required to attend to the needs of others. Working in the service industry has provided me with exceptional communication skills in which I am able to build and maintain successful customer relationships. In addition, I have become accustomed to working in fast-paced environments where prioritizing and quick decision-making skills are essential. My experience in tending to the needs of others, multi-tasking, and executing high-stress situations has helped me to foster a strong skill set that will translate well in a hospital-type work environment. In addition to my work experience and personal qualities, I have a solid educational foundation and a passion for biology. Academic achievements such as high school Valedictorian, ULL Academic Excellence Scholarship, and ULL Dean’s List are indicative of my commitment to all aspects of learning. A challenging work environment will provide an excellent opportunity for me to best utilize my skills while contributing to the healthcare community, patients, and their families.
