As a recent graduate from the University of Arizona with a BS in Psychological Science and a minor in Biology, I have my eye set on attending veterinary school in the near future. Throughout my academic journey, I have achieved the Highest Academic Distinction and have been a Dean's List honoree multiple times, showcasing my dedication to my educational pursuits. My professional and educational experiences have provided me with a solid foundation in both animal care and their behavior. I have experience as a Wildlife Care Specialist, where I honed my skills in treating a variety of native species, including birds, mammals, and reptiles. My role involved emergency patient intake, medication administration, neonatal care, and more, giving me hands-on experience in veterinary medicine, though not in the same area that many start out with. Furthermore, I have ample relevant coursework including animal learning, animal and human interrelationships, multiple anatomy and physiology courses, and the biology of animal parasites to name a few.Overall, I am eager to combine my background in psychological science and biology with the experience I've gained so far to contribute as much as I can to the field of veterinary medicine.
