Following on from the success of Biodose, Protomed are now pleased to offer an enhanced Biodose service to people living independently, the Biodose Connect™.Biodose Connect™ is a Class 1 medical device utilising the same tray system deployed with Biodose and is aimed at patients who are managing their own medicines but struggling with adherence. Biodose Connect™ can be utilised in a range of patient groups including, but not limited to: elderly/vulnerable, early stage dementia, learning difficulties and mental health. It is also particularly useful for patients taking very expensive medication, or where the consequences of poor adherence are more severe. The medication is securely dispensed and sealed into Biodose trays by the supplying pharmacy, which set up the monitoring, adherence timings, programmable preferences and reminders. Biodose Connect™ provides real time feedback on a patient’s adherence to their solid dose or liquid medication, thus allowing caregivers, healthcare professionals or a monitoring service the ability to intervene when necessary.
